Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund - German Bundesliga Pick, Odds, and Prediction Sunday, November 26th , 2016

Eintracht Frankfurt come into this in decent form and unbeaten in six across all competitions (W3 D3). Frankfurt’s five at the back, who had held a clean sheet in four consecutive matches prior, kept Werder Bremen’s aggression at bay and helped take a 2-1 win away from the Weserstadion last Sunday. Frankfurt’s impressive start sees them already have as many points on the board as they did by Christmas last season and even draw 2-2 at home to reigning champions Bayern Munich in the process.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund head into this off the back of an insane 8-4 win at home to Polish side Legia Warszawa in the Champions League on Tuesday, which extended their run to four consecutive wins and nine matches unbeaten (W5 D4), and a 1-0 win at home to reigning champions Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last Saturday. Marco Reus made his first appearance of the season and scored two against Legia after a long injury spell, replacing the rested Aubameyang up front. No doubt Dortmund feel that they have regained momentum and re-established themselves as title contenders for this season after some patchy form.

Borussia Dortmund head into this match as the bookies’ favourites here at 3/5, however, such short odds are not particularly tempting unless adding them into an accumulator. Despite Eintracht Frankfurt’s strong home and decent overall form, we do fancy Dortmund’s chances here for the following reasons: Dortmund have instilled an unstoppable sense of confidence following strong back-to-back Bundesliga and Champions League wins alongside the sensational form of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Aubameyang scored Dortmund’s only goal against Munich – totalling 7 goals in his last 5 Bundesliga appearances – which has pushed him up as equal top-scorer in the Bundesliga, alongside Cologne’s Anthony Modeste, with 12 goals total. He comes into this match rested and should be a decent shout for an anytime goalscorer bet here (odds to follow).

Dortmund don’t like to sit back on small 1-0 or 2-0 leads which makes for entertaining football and often see some unbelievable results on their score-sheet, such as, their 5-2 win at Hamburg last time out on the road. Dortmund’s momentum going forward has, however, often left them exposed at the back – Dortmund have kept a clean sheet in just 3 of their last 13 matches (23%) across all competitions – and Frankfurt are in decent scoring form at home – Frankfurt have scored two or more in three of their last four home matches against Leverkusen, Hertha and Bayern Munich. Hence, a bet like over 2.5 goals and both teams to score at 1/1 should also be a decent shout here.

For the slightly better value, we fancy Borussia Dortmund -1 Asian Handicap at 11/10 and taking a shot at Borussia Dortmund to win 4-2 at the huge odds of 40/1 for a correct score bet here with bet365.
Head To Head
Frankfurt won 1-0 at home when the two sides last met in May earlier this year. An encounter between Dortmund and Frankfurt has not ended in a draw over nine matches since September 2012 (W7 L2 for Dortmund).
